Why believe Jesus is the Son of God and not just a prophet?

QUESTION: “Why believe Jesus is the Son of God and not just a prophet?”Shehab Muhammed

PRETEXT: Most within the Islamic faith will argue in favor of Jesus status as prophet and not the divine Son of God. This completely nullifies the nature of Christ. This is in complete opposition to the teaching of the New Testament – there is no reconciliation between Islam and true Christianity.

My Answer…

Because Jesus Christ came into the world to die for sin. If he were a mere mortal then he would have been sinful. Jesus Christ was without sin and was fully human and fully divine – He was a sacrifice without spot and blemish. If he were a mere mortal his atonement would been in vain.

      1. Thanks for replying, but there are some points I want to know if we agree on them or not;

        Point 1: Jesus is human.

        Point 2: God is the Creator of humans.

        Point 3: The creator isn’t created.

        Jesus was a man. God had always been God.

  1. The word of God tells us that he is the son of God from the old testament to the new testament. Anyone that doubts God’s word is already condemned. Jesus Christ told us he is the son of God. Jesus Christ is the truth and no one is allowed to doubt his word.
