What Is the Nature of Hell?

B. Cooper asks:

“In the Bible, is hell simply separation from God, or is it the literal presence of God’s eternal wrath on the unsaved sinner?”

My answer…

Hell is a place of separation from God and a place of literal conscious torment. It is a place of suffering, grief and flames and it is eternal. I would say all those things taken together could be considered the literal presence of God’s wrath.

Will I Burn I Hell if I’m not a Christian?

D. Edgren asks:

“Will I burn in hell for all eternity if I am not a Christian?”

My answer…

I’m going to be very straight forward with you – when I was an atheist a missionary had me read this text and it led to my conversion…

“The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. 36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. – John 3:35–36

When I was lost this infuriated me but later on God revealed to me it was true. Without Christ you will die in your sin.

Why Are there So Many “Gods” & Religions?

T. Schafer asks the question,

“Why are there so many different gods and religions out there?”

My answer…

There is only one true God and one true religion that is revealed from heaven – and that religion teaches that Jesus Christ came into the world to die for guilty sinners.

On the other hand there are a multitude of false religions created by man. Man is fallen and has a natural propensity for casting a “god” in his own image and has found it highly expedient to do so… the only problem is what Jesus said…

“Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” – Matthew 15:14
