Arnold Murray’s Right about the RAPTURE!

Religion is hell!

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” – 2nd Peter 2:3

I try to give credit where credit is due. Murray butchers about 95% of the bible with his false teachings but he does in fact correctly expose the erroneous pre-tribulation rapture doctrine.

In the same breath I want to add, so do a lot of other Christians who don’t spread all the garbage that this ministry has.

I get so tired of people accusing me of believing in the pre-tribulation rapture simply because I strike out against the Chapel cult. I have NEVER believed this teaching. I started studying with Murray as a 16 year old and I was raised in a Church of Christ… they definitely don’t teach it!

If anyone has opposed this error it has been me. On the blog I have taken the attack a whole lot further and gone after the fountainhead of all this madness: dispensational premillennialism.

Murray and his foes he attempts to expose are so tangled up in that they cannot see straight. Would you like to be free from that?

Having said that, Murray is very correct, the traditional dispensationalist’s are wrong about where the church will be during the great tribulation…

…but SO WHAT!?

This doesn’t negate all the other false teaching. Especially concerning eschatology the details of which we have covered.

And you know what else? I have seen many other cults refute this pre-tribulation error as well… and many times much more convincingly than the Chapel. Like the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses and the like. But cults like to play tricks with the truth…

Here’s how it works. Say you have a cult and you’re wanting to convert other potential followers away from their current religious affiliation to yours… what do you do? Cults use truth and lies as a pragmatic form of thought control.

As an intelligent and aspiring cult leader you pick out the biggest weakness in your potential follower’s belief system, in this case the erroneous pre-tribulation rapture doctrine taught as a form of mind control by traditional religionists by many here in the U.S.

Once you have refuted it they begin to fall into doubt and open the door to their new religious authority. Sound cynical? Well, this is exactly how it works. One form of religious thought control exchanged for another.

Murray’s teaching exposing the pre-tribulation rapture is what I like to call a “convertor doctrine”. Once you accept what he has to say is true, you are more apt to accept the other elements of his control religion.

And that’s what it’s all about – using “truth” in a way that extends your influence. And the Chapel’s net effect of exposing the rapture is religious control… they are so fixated on their approach because it works. The rail on the lowest hanging fruit and it has reaped them vast rewards.

Jesus Christ came to set us free from the bondage of man-made religion and all it’s deceptions. Escape from the Chapel’s false authority.

  1. I’m not a pre-trib believer either, but in researching this issue with Murray I found something interesting. He made a big deal in the Rapture theory tape series about Margaret McDonald as the source for pre-trib. However his research stopped there. Margaret McDonald’s original vision or prophecy supported a post-tribulation view of rapture. It was later reinterpreted by others to fit within a pre-trib framework. Now please don’t think I’m supporting her vision or prophecy, but it was extremely easy to find that she would have probably agreed in principle with Murray, and he used her as a scape goat due to his lack of scholarship.

  2. There is a gathering to Christ at the seventh trump no secret snatching away pre,mid or post trib..

Its the harvest time on the day of the lord with the heralding of a trumpet and with a shout from heaven and Christ will come in all the glory of the Father and with his angels

1Th_4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    Mat_13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

Mat_16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Mat_24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mat_25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Mar_13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

There is no quiet secret snatching away because the dead in Christ are raised with hugh fanfare with a shout and notice at THE trump of God . The seventh and last trump is THE trump of God heralding the DAY of the LORD.

Nobody precedes the raising of the dead at the gathering to Christ on the day of the lord.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Mat_24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mar_13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

1Th_4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with THE trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

At the last trump, the trump of God on the day of the Lord , all of Gods elect are gathered to Christ from the uttermost parts of heaven [the dead in Christ shall rise first] and of the earth [ We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump ]. The living cannot be raptured away before the dead, because there will be people dying the death of the flesh during the time between that so called snatching away and the coming of the lord on the lords day regardless of whether its the mid or pre version tribulation theory. The living cannot preceed the dead. The[ dead are raised first and then the living are changed ], are two occurrences in immediate succession. If the tribulation theories where true there would be two gatherings from both heaven and earth. That is not scriptural and cannot be rationally proved by a convoluted search through scripture. The scripture would be broken if some of the living are changed before some of the dead are raised

Some will die during the tribulation for the witnessing to and of Christ and the gospel.

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Some may say that the dead are already with Christ and therefore would precede the living anyway. Even if the dead are raised in heaven when they shed the flesh, the living have to wait till all those who would dye for the testimony of Christ have died the death of the flesh. This is a condition that must be fulfill as stated in the following scripture:

Rev 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

The dead cannot be preceded by the living and the dead are told to wait for their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were. This is the condition that must be fulfilled first before the dead are gathered from the uttermost parts of heaven to go with Christ on the lords day to gather those who would be changed, having been gathered from the uttermost parts of the earth.
