Eusebius, Chiliasm & Cerinthius – the Beast of Premillennialism

HistoricPremillennialChart

Premillennialism is a big lie. Probably the biggest one I will deal with here on the blog. The Lord Jesus Christ has delivered me from a lot of deceptive biblical teachings – this one takes the prize…

It sends chill down my back to say it because I know it is one of the greatest sacred cows within evangelical Christendom, and exponentially more to the Chapel…

But sacred cows make the best hamburger…

There are two basic form of premillennialism: Historic and Dispensational. The Chapel is dispensational along the same lines as Bullinger and Scofield. Due to British Isrealism, it’s version has a unique twist, as we have covered.

The Historic form was held by many within the early church but there were also a great number of Christians who believed the millennium was a present reality.

Let’s start by mentioning that premillennialism, or chiliasm was condemned by various early church council’s and lastly by the council of Ephesus in 431.

Here’s where it really gets fun. Church historian Eusebius attributes the origination of premillennialism to an arch-heretic named Cerinthius. Cerinthius was an influential gnostic around the turn of the first century. Coincidentally he emerges into the light of history around the same time Revelation was written.

Cerinthius taught that Jesus would establish a thousand-year reign of sensuous pleasure after the Second Coming but before the General Resurrection.

So we have in Cerinthius a heresiarch around the time of John that Eusebius attests to being the originator of the view of a future earthly reign of Christ…

More on this to come very soon…

Jesus in Britain? No Way! Glastonbury Myths Debunked…

5629

The Shepherd’s Chapel offers a curious title in their book list by E. Raymond Capt called the Traditions of Glastonbury. I must confess, in all my time as a Chapel student I heard Murray allude to it but it never piqued my interest.

There is actually incredible deception hidden away in this myth that I will break the ice on in this article linking the Merovingian bloodline, the Grail conspiracy and the British throne.

In time you will see exactly what I mean when I call the Chapel the cutting edge of New Age religion…

So as a research project I decided to look into to see what I could find.

Here’s a quaint video by Capt himself putting forth his absurd speculation that Jesus traveled to Britain as a young man…

There’s a lot to it but the story essentially is that Jesus as a young man, during the “lost years” traveled with his uncle Joseph to Great Britain. A church was also established there soon after Christ’s death and Mary with other disciples went there as well.

By this time in history according to the British Israelist’s the true Israel and it’s throne was already located there.

Jesus early years are called the “lost years” because the bible makes no reference to Jesus activity until his ministry (save for the one lone account at the temple as a young person).

As a result of this silence in the record, man puts forth no shortage of wild speculation about his travels during this time.

So Joseph carries Christ as a young man to Glastonbury Tor. This location became to be associated with the place known in the Arthurian legend as Avalon. In 1190 enterprising monks forged a link of identification between Glastonbury Abbey and the Avalon of Arthurian legend after the church was destroyed by fire.

Of course these are inconvenient details to a mind consumed with fantasy…

This is important as we are beginning to see significant myths surrounding the Grail conspiracy and the Merovingian bloodline beginning to merge…

The deception is so colossal and I don’t have the words or thoughts to explain what I’m seeing…

So I had put this whole Glastonbury myth on the back shelf… until today when I ran across this article proving the whole thing to be a fabrication by monks of the 12th century…

Glastonbury Myths Made up by 12th Century Monks

Who Were the Nephilim?

homer-cyclops-sm-704428

“Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God (bene Elohim) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.” – Genesis 6:1-2

Who are the Nephilim?

Now before we assume it was a race of hybrid beings let’s look at the text…

“There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” – Genesis 6:4

The word for “giants” is Hebrew Strongs entry 5303: nĕphiyl

Here’s the entry from Gesenius lexicon…

feller

Read that carefully. In my Strong’s I get giant as a bully or tyrant. People incorrectly assume because “giant” denotes a being large in stature later in the OT that it must refer to the same here. They could be large but text doesn’t specify it.

They are called “giants” here for quite another reason, and it is specifically for their wickedness and rebellion, the reason in which the flood came.

They incorrectly assume that because Og and Goliath were physically large that they must be hybrids as well. It’s really bad exegesis.

There is nothing here to indicate that these are hybrid beings. Further, there is nothing here to suggest that these “giants” are the result of the sexual union between the “sons of God” and the daughters of men… they were merely present in the land when these unions were occurring.

These giants were rebels, apostates and violent men (a feller) who were being led by the “bene Elohim” and their children…

One can only make that leap that these are hybrids if they take “bene Elohim” to refer to celestial beings. Commonly they do this because of Job 1:6…

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.”

It is clear that these are celestial beings but the bible also calls Adam the “son of God”…

“Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.” – Luke 3:38

The identity of “bene Elohim” in Job does not determine the interpretation of “sons of God” in Genesis 6.

If you make that leap then you will come to very strange and unbiblical conclusions about the bible and reality, much the same way that the writer of the book of Enoch did.

Angels are NOT sexual beings…

While there are a handful of possible interpretations as to these “bene Elohim” one possible interpretation has caught my attention lately, that these sons of God were evil demon possessed “divine” rulers in the antediluvian world that led the world in rebellion, much like Nimrod did after the flood.

Imagine the way in which the pagan Roman emperors believed that they were the incarnation of the gods… it’s not hard to believe that men bought into the same lies before the flood.

The children of these “bene Elohim” are called, Gibbor…

gibbor

There’s nothing new under the sun – that which took place after the flood took place before the flood… this is the God-King dynamic being referred to in Genesis 6 and it’s attendant wickedness; we see the same thing happening down to our present day.

The bible chronicles this in much detail…

Arnold Murray’s Right about the RAPTURE!

Religion is hell!

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” – 2nd Peter 2:3

I try to give credit where credit is due. Murray butchers about 95% of the bible with his false teachings but he does in fact correctly expose the erroneous pre-tribulation rapture doctrine.

In the same breath I want to add, so do a lot of other Christians who don’t spread all the garbage that this ministry has.

I get so tired of people accusing me of believing in the pre-tribulation rapture simply because I strike out against the Chapel cult. I have NEVER believed this teaching. I started studying with Murray as a 16 year old and I was raised in a Church of Christ… they definitely don’t teach it!

If anyone has opposed this error it has been me. On the blog I have taken the attack a whole lot further and gone after the fountainhead of all this madness: dispensational premillennialism.

Murray and his foes he attempts to expose are so tangled up in that they cannot see straight. Would you like to be free from that?

Having said that, Murray is very correct, the traditional dispensationalist’s are wrong about where the church will be during the great tribulation…

…but SO WHAT!?

This doesn’t negate all the other false teaching. Especially concerning eschatology the details of which we have covered.

And you know what else? I have seen many other cults refute this pre-tribulation error as well… and many times much more convincingly than the Chapel. Like the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses and the like. But cults like to play tricks with the truth…

Here’s how it works. Say you have a cult and you’re wanting to convert other potential followers away from their current religious affiliation to yours… what do you do? Cults use truth and lies as a pragmatic form of thought control.

As an intelligent and aspiring cult leader you pick out the biggest weakness in your potential follower’s belief system, in this case the erroneous pre-tribulation rapture doctrine taught as a form of mind control by traditional religionists by many here in the U.S.

Once you have refuted it they begin to fall into doubt and open the door to their new religious authority. Sound cynical? Well, this is exactly how it works. One form of religious thought control exchanged for another.

Murray’s teaching exposing the pre-tribulation rapture is what I like to call a “convertor doctrine”. Once you accept what he has to say is true, you are more apt to accept the other elements of his control religion.

And that’s what it’s all about – using “truth” in a way that extends your influence. And the Chapel’s net effect of exposing the rapture is religious control… they are so fixated on their approach because it works. The rail on the lowest hanging fruit and it has reaped them vast rewards.

Jesus Christ came to set us free from the bondage of man-made religion and all it’s deceptions. Escape from the Chapel’s false authority.

Does God Choose NOT to Know the Future?

517RmkgurdL._AC_UL320_SR208,320_

Viewer question to the Chapel, “If God knows all things, why did He tell Adam and Eve not to eat a certain fruit when He knew in advance that they would eat it?”, Murray’s answer: “He didn’t know.”

This is called, Open theism, and it is a heresy.

Open theism is the belief that God does not exercise meticulous control of the universe but leaves it “open” for humans to make significant choices that impact their relationships with God and others. It also teaches that God has not predetermined the future and that God does not know future in completeness. They affirm that God is omniscient, but deny that this means that God knows everything that will happen.

According to the Chapel, God chose not to know whether Adam and Eve would eat the forbidden fruit. Does the make any sense? Doesn’t the bible teach that God knows the end from the beginning?

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure…” – Isaiah 46:10

Murray teaches that God doesn’t know whether the “free-will” crowd will choose to believe or not and their salvation certainly isn’t predetermined. God restrains himself from knowing what they will do or interfering in the process of salvation, the decision completely up to them.

Murray’s “elect” on the other hand, for all intents and purposes have no free-will and were justified in the world that was… coincidentally, Murray’s elect are VERY different than what the bible teaches. He teaches essentially two categories of Christian: the elect and the free will.

The Chapel reasons, “how could a loving God give someone life if He knew in advance was going to have to send them hell?” – for them, this is not possible. So God choses to blind himself in a sense.

Given this may seem a problem for human reasoning it isn’t for God. He knows in advance of creation all things, He ordains all.

Their line of reasoning is thus…

“If God commanded them to not eat it knowing that they would and then allowed them to do it knowing the misery that would ensue then this would make Him evil for not doing anything to prevent the outcome. So God suspends His knowledge to not look evil for allowing it to happen.”

Open theism is heresy and denies the nature, sovereignty and omniscience of God.

Was Ham’s Real Sin, Incest With His Mother?

curse-of-ham

All good cults know ONE thing: SEX SELLS

What better way to win carnal followers than to sauce up the text with a little raunch?

And the Chapel dishes it up real good… everything in Genesis is really a euphemism for something to do with sex. Eve ate an apple? That really means she had sex with Satan. Sons of God marrying the daughters of men? That really means fallen angels raping human women.

In our latest installment we descend further into madness to find Noah uncovered in his tent after getting into grandma’s medicine cabinet. But everything is not as it appears – Noah being uncovered really is a euphemism for Ham having sex with his mother! Take that Jerry Springer!

“And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.” – Genesis 9:20-24

This passage has absolutely NOTHING to do with incest. Noah literally got drunk from literal wine, from a literal vineyard he planted. He was literally naked in his tent when Ham literally saw him.

Noah acknowledges that he KNEW what HAM had done to HIM. Noah’s wife NEVER enters into this. The sons took a literal garment and RESPECTFULLY covered their father. The nature of Ham’s sin was his lack of reverence and disrespect for Noah.

The bible doesn’t say that Ham uncovered him but that he saw him uncovered. The Chapel likes to use this support text from Leviticus…

“And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” – Leviticus 20:11

The Chapel takes this text in Leviticus and uses it to interpret a very clear passage in Genesis.

The meaning here, uncovered his father’s nakedness is better translated as: exposed his father to shame… look it up in the Strong’s for yourself.

Just one more wicked carnal doctrine that you can throw into the trash bin of hellish false religion.

God Rides Around in a Vehicle that Resembles a UFO?

Ezekiel_Sees_Gods_Glory_1193-142

Does God need a high-tech flying saucer to get around the universe?

The answer is yes, according to the Chapel. They would have us think that God and the angels ride around in pimped out, highly polished vehicles that bare an uncanny resemblance to our modern day conception of UFO’s…

If you think about it, this teaching falls precisely into line with modern day alien propaganda, ascended master and new age disclosure deceptions!

It should be no small wonder as one of the endeavors of my writing is to demonstrate the very close parallel between the Chapel and New Age religion…

You’ve probably seen the endless episodes of Ancient Astronauts on the History channel. They insult your intelligence at every turn.

They endlessly reinterpret the bible as to what it REALLY means. One of their favorite things to do is to demonstrate how certain events from the scripture, say Ezekiel’s wheels for instance, are textual proofs of the reality of UFO’s in human history.

Arnold Murray takes this notion and gives it a biblical overtone…

Whereas the secularist’s are saying the bible is talking about UFO’s and aliens, Murray will say it’s talking about UFO’s but that these UFO’s are the vehicles of God and the angels. Implying that God is kind of like an alien being.

I’ve gotten into drawing out the implications of end-time propaganda like the ancient astronaut theory. It is part and parcel with the strong delusion of the last days. New Age religion will feature an alien messianic figure – the appearance of these “vehicles” will become commonplace in the future.

I suspect that many of Murray’s students will accept this alien messiah based on false interpretations of the bible like this.

By Murray telling his followers that God rides around in a “highly polished bronze” UFO he’s really teaching his students to accept this end-time alien disclosure deception.

Does God ride around in a UFO or is Murray setting us up for something?
